Re: Here’s....Chuck!

He probably enjoys working at the same place as his son. And I get the feeling that his hours might be more flexible than they were at the Evine channel. That’s why the Beekman duo left for QVC. They said that Evine’s schedule was too stringent and the Invicta watch airings absorbed the good time sl...

Re: Anyone know what a "shell pearl" is?

I purchased a shell pearl necklace from SLC several years ago and it looks as new as the day I received it. I only wipe this necklace and my natural pearls with a soft cloth every now and then. It’s a very pretty necklace but the pearls are so perfectly round, lustrous and so uniform that I’m not su...

Re: Bid prices

Good morning, We apologize if your bidding experience has been unsatisfactory. The online bidding is automatically capped at 4x the lowest price the item was sold at when bidding manually and 2x the lowest price when setting the auto-bid. So, if an items lowest sell price was $9.99 the lowest manua...

Re: Auctions

Good morning, We do actively monitor overbidding, and when users regularly do not pay for won bids. Per our terms of service, users can be suspended if they regularly do not pay for their auction wins, especially in cases of overbidding. I hope this clears things up! [/quote] Yesterday it was Bev. T...

Re: Auctions

it happens often with the Swarovski items where someone bids on almost every Swarovski item at $39 or $49 per item though the actually selling price is $9.99 or less. Like you said either the bidder isn’t aware of the actually selling price and thinks the estimated retail price is the selling price,...

Re: ESPIRITO SANTO AQUAMARINE Question

Sea Hag, the GIA says the most valuable colors are dark blue, which in their picture resembles Swiss blue topaz, to slightly greenish blue, which could resemble a lighter London blue topaz like you described. The GIA says the more pure and intense the blue color is the more valuable it is.

I wish I wasn’t on a tight budget right now. I really liked some of the larimar pieces.

Re: People on Auctions. What is something that you won that was/is usually expensive on auctions? How much did you win i

Earlier this year in the wee hours of the morning I won a Tahitian pearl ring that sold for for $59.99 or $69.99 for $2.00. Also a beautiful larimar * ring that sold for $59.99 for $10. And a pink sapphire for $8. One time I won a ruby set (sadly fissure filled) for $8 that sold for $60. I’ve gotten...

Re: ESPIRITO SANTO AQUAMARINE Question

The statement you typed is from SLC’s education center. I didn’t take it to mean that Queen Elizabeth’s stones came from the Espírito Santo mine but I can see how it could be misleading. I can find nothing on the internet that says specifically which mine in Brazil her stones came from. But I must s...

Re: Super cheesy face masks!

I felt the same way - cheated. These sponge masks are similar to the Japanese “Pitta” masks. The few tests done in these sponge masks show they have 0 - yes, zero - protection against covid sized particles. In Shop LC’s defense, I never heard the hosts say they would protect against covid19. I thoug...
