Re: Need Help Figuring Out What Hundreds of Items Are!

Anyone know if these are worth anything. Might be Suzanne Somers? From the top: Peridot; typical multi-stones of amethyst, citrine, garnet, blue topaz and peridot; could be amethyst - the stones appear to be the same shade as in the multi-stones bracelet. In my experience, tourmaline stones don't l...

The dark blue looks like lapis, the turquoise colored are probably howlite, the single round orange looks like carnelian. No markings on metal means it's mystery metal. I'd put that in the $10 Friday category.

Re: Need Help Figuring Out What Hundreds of Items Are!

Is your mother unable to identify any of this stuff?

Separate the items into categories such as earrings, rings etc and see if the order history contains item numbers. Are all of the items from 2014?

I'm sorry, but without pictures or any other info it will be impossible to help.

Re: Need Help Figuring Out What Hundreds of Items Are!

Did you check her paperwork? LC invoices typically have a pic of the item. Did she order online? Maybe some info can be pulled from her computer. JTV is usually helpful - have you been able to get her order history? Since I also have been buying from both companies for years, pics of the pieces woul...

Re: Tanzanite warning!!

18kt and D-flawless? It seems to me your setting would be worth more than $1200. I wouldn't put any faith in what one jeweler tells you unless you know him personally and have known him for a long time. Get more opinions. And, get out of downtown LA - they have a lot of competition. Jewelers will ty...

Re: Yellowing Welo Opals

Ethiopian Welo opals are hydrophane opals whereas common opals and fire opals are not. Hydrophane opals are porous enough to absorb water. If they can absorb water, they can certainly absorb gases emitted by fabrics and construction materials in jewelry boxes. It is not recommended to expose Welo op...

Re: Yellowing Welo Opals

Get your opals out of those jewelry boxes. They will absorb any chemicals the boxes have - the anti-tarnish ones are the worst for porous stones. Put them in sunlight and check on them after a couple of weeks. It might take some time for them to look better. What do you have to lose? I'm not on face...

Re: LuLu--Where are you at?

How very sweet of y'all! Will look forward to her review and hopefully a pic. I received my 1+ct, 7mm heart shape turkizite from Gemporia and am very happy with it. As I recall, RS' is several carats so should be that much more spectacular. Thank you for the shout out. :)
