Re: Why so many rings?

How awesome Lah! That's something I'd like to eventually get into! Did you design your own items too or just assemble everything as dictated by the boss? I worked on pieces that were already designed, according to the boss. I eventually wanted to get into casting, but they didn't have any positions...

Re: A locked topic

Lah2001 you don’t need to apologize! I was in on that discussion as well and I literally just threw my hands up in the air. I don’t feel either of us said anything that was offensive. Have a good day! Thanks, Bella. Yeah, I was trying not to be offensive. I generally like discussing religion, but s...

Re: I do like the new Steve

I like the new Steve, too, and enjoy his calm demeanor. I also miss the old Steve, Aussie Steve. Where has he been? He was amusing. Jana is cool. She makes sure to show the items, and has good gemstone knowledge. She calls the jewelry "she", which strikes me as a bit curious, as in "This ring is bea...

Re: A locked topic

I think you guys are talking about the thread in which the subject of dragons being evil came up. I was trying to let PearlGirl know that the Asian Dragon is not a symbol of evil, but she began going into religion more than I felt comfortable discussing on what is essentially a jewelry forum. Sorry ...

Re: Why so many rings?

Just as others have said, I started out buying rings on the LC. Now I'm moving into more pendants and earrings. I have tons of rings. I also bought a lot of beads, as I take the necklaces apart and use them in the jewelry I make. I've taken jewelry-making courses that did silver work and soldering, ...

Re: A whole new thread

Thanks honey and Rolltide. Now I think Xavier was probably the name of the jewelry line I was thinking of. I do remember there being a lot of Deco and Nouveau styles.

Re: Terahertz

How big are the drilled holes in the bracelet stones? If they look really tiny, get the 1mm cord. Otherwise, I'd go for a 1.5mm cord. It really depends on the heaviness of the stones, and the size of the holes drilled into them. The cord should be very stretchy, not sure if that's what you mean by "...

Re: A whole new thread

Reviving this thread to ask William a question. Hope he sees this. William (or anyone who remembers), do you remember the costume jewelry line ShopLC used to carry that was based on original Art Deco and Art Nouveau designs from the past? I thought it was a beautiful line, and luckily I bought sever...

Re: Terahertz

Gulfwaterlady, do you have a Michael's store near you? If not, you could probably order some new cord from them online. I do beading, but haven't gotten around to doing stretchy bracelets. You also need to get some jewelry glue to rub on the finished knot and let it dry. This helps prevent the knot ...
