Yes. Before the industry have invented this treatment, those rubies were used for as industrial rubies, not as gemstones.

Whatever will it be? The guess for me...Ruby (Many many people like rubies I am not one of them. I just have never cared for them) That fissure filled stuff should not even be called a ruby. A gemologist called that composite. For him, it's not longer a ruby. I won't wear my "Burmese Ruby"(I'm sad)...

Tanzanite is beautiful but treated. It's like citrine, natural untreated citrine is rare in nature. What about the other colors of zoiste, that so called green "Tanzanite"?. Only the blue zoiste should carry the name Tanzanite, not the other colors.

If they do that then, then we can forget to buy Ethiopian opals from them. For that, I will have to switch to JTV. Ironically , the name is ShopLC (Shop Low Cost) and solid gold pieces are expensive. They are not what they used to be. Like I said in another thread, my first piece was a solid gold it...
