Sale or clearance, which is it?
Does anyone know how you determine if an item is on sale or clearance? ( to me they are different) and if it’s on sale or marked down does that mean no returns? To me clearance should be stated as such. Am I missing something? Seems this has been a topic of debate in the past and I don’t think it’s been solved.

I don't think it's been solved. I've seen items in the clearance section that aren't even marked down. I just assume any item with a 'sale' price is clearance and base my purchase decision on that.
Now, the definition of 'clearance' is up for debate. To US consumers, it means markdowns. To SLC, it means clear the warehouse and get as much money for it as they can. They actually mark up some items in their clearance. I don't think they understand how that practice colors buyers' impression of their company - as in you can't believe anything they say.

What's funny is they have some items on clearance that have never been seen before where were these items? 🍀
