Yes, it was Diana's engagement ring. Sapphire is Royal in many ways, primarily because it is MY birthstone!!!. Although it comes in a variety of colors, my fave is still blue. I own a lot of pieces, have to discipline myself to keep from buying more!

I have a few sapphires. I have pink, blue, yellow and multi color in rings, earrings and bracelets and a green sapphire tennis necklace. I love sapphire. Just check the treatment before buying, some are glass filled (FF) and some are diffused and neither of those treatments are good as far as value so try getting the ones that are only heat treated unless you want them just for looks and not as an investment.
