CHECK AROUND BEFORE PURCHASING

Post by colljoe » 1 month ago

I'm seeing Shop LC selling items that are no longer "lower cost" but are in fact higher cost than most other places including Amazon, QVC, ShopHQ, and other places. I checked in this morning and they were selling FAUX - Faux Leather 3 Layer Jewelry Organizer for $27.99. Seriously? Found same on Amazon for $14.00. I remember these faux items being 9.99 not that long ago. And I would expect that lower price, considering they call themselves a liquidation channel and "lower cost" channel. I was shocked to see several hundred sold. Maybe the sold numbers are the FAUX.

I check elsewhere all the time. I see many non jewelry items on T for way less. I see LC selling items for double and triple the price that they sold it for less than a year ago when I made my purchases. It's crazy. I won't pay it.

#colljoe, I just got my purchases that I bought on HQ which I paid about $5.00 for. The exact same necklace that LC sold it for a few weeks ago, it was about $22.00.

@colljoe .....

Good afternoon!
Finally have some time to come and visit with you all :)
I am completely hooked on the T and my neighbor saw how nice my purchases were so she asked me to get her set up on her phone!
She has become addicted....lol

Today I watched Ms. K and Rico Suave and they were a non stop s....show!!
Constant interruptions, yelling, swiping the bangs, weird faces and robotic verbiage
RARELY do I watch ShopLC anymore especially when the Princess is on with Uncle Fester, ugh the drama and narcissism is too much !!

Just wanted to say I think breaking an ankle is one of the worst joints to break. Really bad for you because you are going to estate sales all the time. My best friend shops online estate sales. If she sees items she collects she will travel to the sale.
I collect vintage dolls from the 50's, Vogue Ginny dolls. They are 8" tall. I played with them as a little girl. They are very hard to find in collectors condition. The market is becoming better because the elderly ladies who collected them, like me, are giving up their collections or they pass and relatives sell them.

I am posting about other subjects. Why not? No one here wants to hear the dismal LC stories anymore.

I used to buy gemstone beard necklace on Friday shows for really good prices. I couldn’t believe the start and ending prices I saw the other day. Ridiculous. Fortunately I have enough already. LC has really shot themselves in the foot!

I am one of those elderly ladies with a big doll collection mostly from the 90s. Many are 11” fashion dolls. Many Silkstone Barbies, most NRFB. Since my brother the doll collector died five years ago, I have lost interest. I have no one to leave them to. We sold his doll collection through a third party on eBay. However, I could never afford to ship my collection to her (different location from his).

If you have any ideas - anyone here - about how I may rid myself of this collection and make some room in my house to get rid of all the pre-COVID and COVID stuff that came in during lockdown, PLEASE let me know! This keeps me awake at night. I have health issues and need to move forward with the cleanout.

Hello,

As a fellow doll collector I am curious to know where you are located.
