Option to message forum members

I was just wondering if there will ever be an option to message forum members privately? It says under forum guidelines that under the Control Panel is where we would go to check messages if permitted but its clearly not. Ive been a member of other forums where they to have this option and its kind of nice.

Facebook has that option. Its great !!
