Grading Tanzanite

I could be behind the times a bit but I was under the assumption that tanzanite had to be over a ct in order to be graded AAA?

Thank you for your inquiry. Any carat size of Tanzanite may be graded as AAA, as the carat size is not considered in the grading process.
