some studies say that there is no direct correlation between vitamin d / s intake and illness. others, on the contrary (studies on patients with covid), that those with low vitamin D levels were more severely affected by the disease. we should not forget that the level itself tells us little, but the reasons for the low level are worth finding out. it is they who will influence the course of the disease.
Call me a fanatic, but I am constantly taking 2500 IU of vitamin D, along with K2 and magnesium. When I get sick, in the first days I raise the dose to 10,000 IU. I also follow the advice I found in this article. ( I really like the awareness of the author)

I have low vitamin D under a doctor's care I take 50,000 one week and a 100,000 units the next week. It's every other week. I've been tested by other doctors and it's still low so I don't know what the problem is with my levels
