Opals in Platinum overlay?

I thought SLC said just recently that they were only going to be having Welo Opals in gold! In fact, I am certain that was said...there’s a thread about it here somewhere...

The mod definitely did post somewhere that the Welo opals will only be sold in gold. I just cant find it now. If I remember correctly, a host stated that on air, someone posted about it, then the Mod confirmed

Sad off the farm for yrs now and still have to watch as to not step in them!

Last night the host said that if you want ethiopian welo opals in silver that the smack down tomorrow will be the last one done in silver, he said after this they will all be set in gold. So that means once they sell out of the silver ones then if you can not afford them in gold you are out of luck. What happened to delivering joy and making items in all price ranges so everyone can have one as they are always saying? Shop lc will lose customers by doing this, people will shop where they can still buy them in silver and with gold prices being at an all time high right now they will have a much smaller amount of people buying them.

I did. So now why the change? Or was it not ever going to be that way and just trying to sell the other set? I think I may have said that in that other thread. YET one more thing that makes you go hmmmm....
