For Saturday, August 22 Norrell
For Saturday, August 22 Norrell, Will be on 9 AM to 12 PM CST the only place I could find it on the web what Karen was talking about was at. Newman M. Can’t say the correct name or they won’t post it. Quite expensive. Back in the very early 80s used to wear Aliage by Ester launder can’t say the correct name on here or this won’t get posted. It was and still is the best perfume I’ve ever smelled. Quite expensive back then. Does anyone think they will watch the Norrell show also I believe they’re going to have lipstick and some other things. Have a great day everyone.

absolutely no forethought in the promotion
of one scent that slc sells when a simple test strip sample
of any scent could have been shipped with every order
that has goes out a month prior to any presentation.
do you really think that i care ..... how the host precieves
the scent??? ......... so, some of you might be familiar
and slc might have your fave, "yay for you!"

Honey;
That was a good idea...
I wouldn't spend "big bucks" on a "perfume"
Without being able to "test"
And you should put it on,
And after a period of time
Check to see if you still like
Your body chemistry changes it.
Have you ever heard that?
Would like other people's verification on this.

I might watch for for a bit but I won't buy the fragrance because I won't buy if I don't know what it smells like. That's just silly. I think Karen said there would be lipstick.

hi Jace,
well, everybody has body chemistry,
everybody is different. if i were testing
scents, there is no doubt that i would
know in a split second whether or not i
like. then there are moods, wouldn't that
be a determining factor which scent one
chose? i like coconut for the beach, it's
playful, i love lemon at home, it's relaxing.
i certainly don't want to smell like a lady
of the evening if i am in church or business
appt. or anyplace for that matter ... no
offense to any ladies of the night ...hahaha
and i certainly don't want people to gag when
passing. one might choose scents because one
might cover body odor. hubs asked me one day,
'why are there unscented deodorants?' i just told
him that women and men pay a lot of money for
scents of their liking and scented deodorants clash
and basically deodorant is used to stay dry.
there are nice colognes and perfumes and everybody
to their own liking. my grandmother always grew
honeysuckle and when she would go out, she would
always pick a stem and put it in her pocket. nice.
my likes changed over the years.
for the past twenty, i have one go to that i love. i
spritz the air just once and walk thru before going
out the door .... because i like it!

@Jace
I never buy perfume without not only trying it first, but also waiting an hour after application to make a decision. I can put some on and it smells divine for a short while. Then it starts smelling like wet baby diapers. It is because my body chemistry is very acidic. For this same reason mystery metal turns green or black very quickly on me, and also some lipsticks start out mauve or red and turn orange. Note--some VERY expensive perfumes ($150 plus per ounce) do not do this.

Hi everyone,
I have been wearing Opiu. For years. Men (especially) ask what im wearing, they want to buy it for their wives. Its expensive and smells differently on each of my friends who tried it. I have tried many other pricey perfumes and they smell awful on me. I agree that we all have a unique skin chemistry that reacts uniquely with various fragrances.
Karen loves the Norell fragrances. Obviously they reacts positively with her skin chemistry.
The price is great. When she presented it, it was $55 for 3.4oz
Now its $59. At Amaz.. its $150
I agree that just like some dept stores send out samples of fragrances, shoplc should have done the same.

I also wore that same Est Laud "A" perfume for years!!! As for the Norell show, I have to say I hope I have a chance to watch it. I wore Norell New York in the 70's for years. I ordered the Norell Blushing here and loved it so much I bought 3 more bottles to share with others. A person should wear a fragrance for several hours to see how it changes, since the "dry down" as they say, will change the initial scent.Harlequin wrote: ↑3 years agoFor Saturday, August 22 Norrell, Will be on 9 AM to 12 PM CST the only place I could find it on the web what Karen was talking about was at. BUT DON"T WE STILL GET 30 DAYS TO TRY IT? If anyone knows please tell me. I just assume that we do? Thanks!
