Today...Sun. Jan. 10 is Bittersweet Chocolate Day.
In case you didn't get enough chocolate and sweets
during the long holidays, here's another chance to delve
Into some Bittersweet Chocolate.
Did you really need a reason to indulge?
While milk chocolate may be the most popular
Bittersweet has it's place high on the list.
Did you know, guys tend to prefer Bittersweet Chocolate
While gals usually prefer milk chocolate.
Like 'em both?... that's perfectly normal.
Okay, you know Bittersweet Chocolate tastes good.
But what distinguishes it from other Chocolates
It is a sweeter form of dark chocolate
And has no milk.
It is darker and richer than most Chocolates
And the most popular for baking.
Did you know? Americans consume 3.1billion pounds of Chocolate a year.

What really distinguishes dark chocolate from other chocolate is that it's "heart smart". I eat a piece daily.

As long as we are on the subject, let’s take a poll and the subject is....your favorite brand of chocolate.
My favorite brand is, “Frango”..it has been made in Chicago for decades..above the old Marshall Fields department store, downtown. it..especially chocolate mint..yum.

Harlequin!
See’s, Lindt, Lindor...and many others.
Hershey’s has a certain taste to it that I absolutely LOVE.
I love Nestle’s Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (in the baking aisle).
They have a distinctive flavor to them that my sis and I as little kids always called “raisin-ishy”, if that makes sense!
I love milk chocolate and “dark chocolate”, baking chocolate, bittersweet, etc. I don’t care for REALLY sweet brands, but if that’s all there is? I’ll still eat it!
