Did you know..The Maine coon is among the largest breeds of domestic cats.
Males can weigh 18 lbs.(8 kilograms).
One of the largest known Maine coons was 4 feet (1.2 meters)
From nose to tail tip.
It is the official state cat of the state of Maine.

I once adopted a female Maine coon from the kill shelter and she was one of the best cats I've ever owned. She was so sharp, loving, playful, funny, and she was an excellent hunter. I didn't like her hunting but it was her nature and she did it well. She was large but not as large as a male. She had a beautiful and expressive face! She was also a talker!

She lived to the ripe age of 19!
