Carbon Footprint
You may have heard the term "carbon footprint" bandied about in the news,
and deduced from it's usage it is not a good thing.
But you may wonder what, exactly the term means.
Your carbon footprint is the sum of all emissions of carbon dioxide ( CO2)
that were induced during a given timeframe.
For example, when you drive your car, the engine burns fuel, which emits
a certain amount of CO2, depending on it's fuel consumption and driving distance.
Heating your house also generates CO2, as does the production of
your food and other goods.
Your carbon footprint, therefore, is your personal negative impact on the environment.
One way to "lighten" your carbon footprint
Is to "go paperless" -- helping to conserve paper and trees,
which is good for the environment, also cuts down on clutter.
which is good for you!

Re: Did you know?
I'm all for saving trees. If I had more faith in my electronic devices to preserve information, or even allow me to access my information my footprint would be a size 4. Unfortunately I have had too many fails in that department.

Hi Sissy!
Don’t worry! Every bit of the information on all of our devices is being very well preserved!
Just not by us.
I understand what you meant, though!
What I dislike is that our medical records (and everything else about each of us) being “off paper” is because it’s “online”.

Catticus: I worked in healthcare 50 years. All of our medical records are “in the clouds” be assured. I don’t like it either. ☹️☹️☹️

Catticus. Sis says to check your mail Monday or Tuesday. A little pick me up for you and CrunchingLeaves should you decide to share. No. Nothing edible or smokeable.
