Should the Starter Kits of 3 packs = 3 gallons - have FREE SHIPPING with the purchase at $9.99?

EZ Yogurt Maker & Starter Kit

Post by OtherSideOfTheTracks » 4 years ago

The Starter kit's price! You get 3 packs for $9.99! Plus they charge shipping and handling for $5.99! So we are really paying $15.99 for 3 packs/3 gallons! That is NOT a savings! If you buy more than one ($9.99 kit plust $5.99 shipping) - it's ridiculously overpriced at $15.99 then add on the price of three gallons of milk! Another $10.00. Not a savings!

A great idea but It's just too much to make this healthy yogurt. The starter kit should be with free shipping as it will be combined in shipping with the EZ Yogurt Maker. If it's shipped separately, then first class postage - but it should NOT be $5.99 per 3 packs to make the yogurt! Robbery!

Sad. Wish it make sense to buy. One more issue. Lactose free milk doesn't come in the gallon. Even the almond milk doesn't come in the gallon container. No mention of how to handle that issue as I asked on the live presentation.

I asked a question about the texture of the yogurt. Never got an answer. I eat yogurt every day but I don’t like the runny kind.
At other networks any item that is considered “food” always has free shipping.
I will just stick with my sugar free Greek yogurt.

Thank you for your feedback.

One option would be to get a gallon jug from a different product, clean it out thoroughly, and use it with the yogurt maker.

The starter packs are showing S&H of $2.99, not $5.99.

The yogurt made in this maker would be on the thinner side, and can be eaten as is, or used in recipes calling for yogurt.

I'm going to post a screenshot of your shipping and handling at $5.99. The entire presentation it was $5.99. So if you changed it - good. Still, it should be free with purchase imo.

Thank you for the suggestion with cleaning out an old "gallon" of something to use.

hi ya, the fresh softer yogurt could be poured into a
fine strainer lined with cheesecloth to form a yogurt
that you find more suitable.
if ya like a lot of kitchen gadgets, go for it.
for just me, i think that i find yogurt o' plenty just
at the market.......... shop on. :)

Thank you RS for letting me know that half gallons are okay to use as I missed that. Also, I did hear that you will still need to use a whole package of the probiotics even if it is less than a gallon.

I don't think that charge will change because the additional packets are a separate purchase. The packs are really lightweight and if anything should change it should be how they are shipped. I received my packets when I ordered and one of the packets was open and powder was all over the container.
