Just curious!! Hunter and Chris are always in the studio but Matt is usually remote, wonder why

I have been meaning to ask about this, it is curious to me that Chris and Hunter are ALWAYS live in person and yet Matt is mostly doing remote shows
Yes I know he is on vacation here and there but to me that guy is always doing his shows from somewhere else while the two others are in studio

I wonder if that is perhaps in Matt's contract since Hunter and Chris I believe have more seniority
Has anyone ever seen Hunter and Chris do a remote show and I just missed it?
We got to see Matt live when Nikki was here but he only worked a couple of days after she left and next thing I know he is doing remote again!

Yeah not sure how that works... it does seem like they fly people in off and on -- except for Dan, but I don't see him on too much. I imagine flying hosts in gets VERY expensive too! I wonder why they don't do it like the news channels, if you want to work here then you gotta move here! Honestly if they did that, they'd retain their people better (no one wants to move all over).

Also Matt’s Skype is not the greatest not as clear as Dan’s programs and I have to say the room color is such a boring color ugh gets me every time He looks so much better in person

I couldn't agree more.....heck Matt hasn't been with this company that long and he is allowed not to "show up" like everyone else?
Of course I understand Karen doing remote as she is a stand in I believe which we all appreciate

Yes Sea....I am glad you brought that up about his feed, it's poor and as you noticed, very boring
When Matt works with Michelle or Nikki he is so much easier to listen to with his ever so "car salesman" verbiage

I have seen him do shows while in Miami, supposedly Mexico (planning his wedding) and of course at home in Austin, Texas
Just don't understand why he gets all those breaks when Chris and Hunter are not given that opportunity.....maybe they have been asked and turned it down cause they like being in the studio

Enjoying the opinions and observations here. Matt reminds me of those people who work kiosks in the mall- whether they sell jewelry or lotions or artwork etc.. Very pushy. Over-dressed. Pandering.

I agree I enjoy Chris and Hunter, as I said before I’ve always found it hard to relate to the longer retained hosts that are males as a fellow guy.. you know who they are. Chris and Hunter are definitely more relatable.

And yes Matt’s camera feed is often blurry, poorly lit and sometimes bad audio. Can’t believe LC allows it. Matt often claims he is very well off in terms of the way he speaks of his clients and lifestyle. Surely a good quality webcam is in his budget.

I would rather see Hunter or Chris in the main evening hours and send Matt to the overnight (sorry for late night viewers though, I know there are some of you who do watch regularly in the wee small hours ) or just have him in an emergency. I am sure Chris and Hunter are just more flexible nice guys willing to work whenever, but Matt has that air of importance that he probably only says he will work the prime hours. Somehow I think Matt must be calling the shots on his hours as in “I’ll only work these times or these conditions or nothing”. Just trying to put the pieces together.

I just wanted to pop in and mention that I think that they are working poor Hunter way too much. The last few times I have seen him on the air his eyes were very red and he said that we was very tired and had even been sleeping on a couch or something to that effect at the studio. Even one of the other hosts mentioned that he was always there sleeping so they knew where to find him, LOL.. So I think that he has been working too much trying to fill in for others perhaps? I am not sure but he does spend a good bit of time on air lately in my observation. Maybe someone else can chime in here and say if they had noticed this as well?

That was perfect....sadly I really liked Matt when he first started but then the personality changed quickly and he became overwhelming!!
Shopper7192, I agree with your thoughts on poor Hunter, he does look really tired and I also wonder why Matt isn't doing late nights and paying his dues like everyone else has too; not to mention all his days off

I am a night Owl and can only endure a certain redundant Host when that person is working with Hunter or Chris before I have to turn the station within a hour....believe me it's a sacrifice
Thank goodness Hunter and Chris work with others too because they are fun in the night Owl hours!
I will say having Matt on during that time would be fun to see how he handles certain Hosts....

I swear --- there was a day about 2 to 3 weeks ago when I saw Hunter in the overnight -- The morning and then again in the late afternoon/early evening---I thought to myself on that day that they must really be having scheduling problems!!! I have seen Michele do crazy hours in the past also -- overnight and then afternoon/early evening--but not as bad as Hunter's hours have been at times ! One day they had the young lady who is a model for them Host!---Not the physical--fitness trainer--model (who always seems to be on with Mr Clemency)-- the other one -- who does commercials also--- she is featured on the commercial where a woman buys a bag and then the price drops $20 and she gets worried then relaxes when on the TV Cheryl says she was 1st in and will pay the lowest price as eveyone --- That girl -- Anyway -- I Really like her --she is very nice on air and did a GREAT job hosting -- they should have her host !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hunter needs time off just like everyone else !

I had NEVER related Matt to the mall salesman since I don't go to the mall but maybe every 3 years, but WOW, that seems so very spot on!

I do agree, I think the interest level has worn off and he's a bit hard to listen to with rushed chatter. And part of that could be the feed

I hadn't noticed that about Hunter . . . but he is one of my more liked hosts, so that's very saddening to hear about what's been happening with his hours It's possible that he and Michelle and a few others are picking up extra time slots because they have an opening SLC doesn't want to fill (or perhaps they need extra $$$?).

I don't usually like to speak ill of the hosts, but Matt *is* a little like a used car/mall kiosk salesman. He's also the King of Humblebrag.
