Roll tide, you got me curious about this link. I looked it up and it's a really pretty sterling chain.

I have never bought their 14kt overlay items. I'm leary of how long the 14kt it will last. I usually buy just silver.

Yes, I really like the Saturno chain. I have it in gold over sterling and platinum over sterling. It's unique and sparkly.
I've never had the gold fade in a gold over sterling chain from ShopLC.

With gold over, it depends on what TYPE of gold over.
vermeil is the better option, as it lays down a thicker coat of gold (18k) and holds up best over time.
regular gold plating will rub off quickly. I had a 14K gold over ring from SLC. The gold lasted exactly 1 day, and then I had a silver ring. But this is standard for this type of coating, so I knew this ahead of time before I purchased it (it was just a cheaper everyday type of ring).
I honestly have not looked into too many sterling chains, would you say this one you could wear with a pendant, or is it just best on it's own? I'm always looking for good pendant chains ;D

Re: Italian Saturno chain
Seems the Italian gold over sterling holds up quite well with careful use (not worn while bathing etc). I have several ShopLC paper clip chains and they make a great gold imposter. I saw the Saturno presentation and was really tempted to buy.
