Hanging earrings should hang, not stick out on the ear

Please make your hanging earring longer from the ear stub, at least a half inch from the ear piercing, so the earrings would hang properly. Every time, I buy a hanging earring it does not hang, just sticks out from my ear lobe because not enough was left from the ear piercing to the piece of the earring that hangs.
