Re: Item on air
I think it was JQ, Angelflutter, or OSOTT that told us that the
paper masks are not effective?
we are going need an update on the effective masks
as we've already been given some info on which masks actually work
at stopping the virus spread. also....is SLC going to sell goggles to
protect our eyes from air bourn droplets? hmmmm
OH....or should we just believe what a president of a gem house
and a gemologist tell us?

Re: Item on air
Paper masks should be worn by the SICK person, to keep the saliva, spit, snot etc. from delivering the virus into the air or onto surfaces. They don't stop the virus itself, just the vehicle it's hitchhiking on.
There are a different type of mask that is fine enough to actually filter the virus, but they look more like a miniature gas mask and are expensive.
These are the only kind that protect the uninfected.

I only saw one presentation of the wipes yesterday - and a glimpse
of the ingredients. The gemologist seemed to be more impressed
with their moisturizing effect, how long they stay wet while in use
AND tucking the used wipe into a plastic baggie and REUSING!
uh......no thanks

On a previous thread I posted my thoughts on these wipes. They need to reveal what ingredients are in it. And stop saying they are not making any money. They bought it at wholesale prices. Probably bought at least 20,000 of em. They already sold a few thousand. Probably paid 50 cents a item at most.
Does anyone really believe shoplc paid the price on the pkg
I wonder how many viewers believe that shoplc is making no money by selling this.
Plus, if it was bleach based, shoplc would definitely have used it as a selling tool

Make wipes at home. Easy to do. Just a few ingredients:
2 cups warm water
1 tablespoon dish soap see note
1 roll paper towels
1 cup rubbing alcohol at least 70% 10 drops essential oils optional
Instructions:
Mix together water, soap, alcohol and essential oils if using. Pour over paper towels that have been placed in sealable container. Allow paper towels to soak up liquid and then use on hard surfaces.
Omit the soap for antibacterial wipes and wipes that are safe to use on granite countertops.

I meant to add that you can pull the cardboard tube from the roll of towels and put them in a large round plastic container and pull the towels/wipes up from the center.
I always get into a wrestling match with them that way.
I buy the paper towels that are perforated so you can use a smaller size (pick a size). I tear off a load of smaller sized ones and fold them in half. Lay them (folded) in a rectangular lock n lock or Tupperware type container. Pour the mixture over them. I make several containers at a time.
I hadn’t made them in a long time, until yesterday.

Re: Item on air
I watched the presentation of the sanitizing wipes this morning. And, yes I know that SLC did not pay that amount when they purchased them from a seller
The thing that irritates me though, is that they are charging $2.99 shipping for each packet. What does a packet weigh? I’ll guess maybe 8 oz. —probably not even that?
They kept announcing that some people have bought 10, 15, 25 pkgs...OMG! The money spent on the shipping is criminal!!
Couldn’t SLC have lowered the shipping?
