I would love to see a whole line of Iolite jewelry! Jtv offers some beautiful Iolite jewelry and I have been buying it there, Iolite in my opinion is more beautiful then Tanzanite and I know of others that also love this gemstone.

I also have always loved that gem. Some can be grayish and pale, but when you get good ones, they are such a deep, beautiful purplish blue!

I'd rather have Iolite than Tanzanite!

Tanzanite is pretty, and if gifted it, I certainly wouldn't complain!

But it's not even on my list of favorite stones.

I can live without it.

I don't look for it, and don't intend on "having to have it", simply because...

I love and adore Iolite! I feel the same way that I would rather have Iolite over tanzanite any day. I don't own tanzanite and like @Catticus, I will not buy it ever.

I too LOVE iolite. It in my top 4 favorites. Much rather have iolite than tanzanite (at least the tanzanite I can afford!)

I'm going to "boycott" it by NOT buying it.

Why?

Because I'm even sick of the WORD "TANZANITE."

Every time I hear it said, or read the word, do you know what I think of FIRST?

Its "Deep Color"? NO.
Its "Violet hues within the deep blue?" NO.
Its "Flashes of red?" NO.

My VERY FIRST THOUGHT IS:
Warner Brothers' "TAZMANIAN DEVIL"!

I would like to see more Iolite featured , it is a pretty gemstone but I still like Tanzanite better not the "tanzalite" but the premium. I have graded pieces that are so deeply saturated in color and I wouldnt trade them for Iolite .......

I love Iolite too. I only have one ring, purchased from SLC when I first started shopping here. It’s a deep deep blue surrounded by zircons and zircons on the shank. I think it was Jessica’s host pick. I just wish the carat weight were larger.
