Red Andesine Labradorite
I just won the bid for Red Andesine Labradorite earrings. Yay! I a;ways go to the education page to read about gems that I come across. Is the gem just red andesine or labradorite?

Red Andesine Labradorite is a reddish orange feldspar. It is almost always heat treated. It can also be irradiated, diffused, and even heated and injected with copper to improve the color. If you are curious JTV had a 5 million dollar lawsuit in 2009 about deceptive practices with regards to this gem. It has value but is not near as rare, or valuable, as some would have you believe. If you like it and didn't pay too much for it--Enjoy!
