Today (Feb 23) I noticed a new company handling ShopLC's order tracking and other pages. I bought the amber bracelet and the necklace. I do like it. But, had to look up the items to see about the spangles. The heating is in an oil. Apparently it is to de-cloud the amber too.

In the latter part of the 1970's I worked in Dallas, Texas. We sold stones including turquoise, sheet silver, and tools to make jewelry. I agree with the observation that the turquoise looked different then. The many of entire pieces today, are dipped in a resin to stabilize a lot of turquoise stone...
